This existing double story house is in the heart of Green Point. The outside was in good condition but the inside needed to be completely renovated and uplifted. The beautiful wooden staircase and fireplace were repaired. New built-in furniture was used to redefine internal spaces within the ample rooms. A bookshelf screens the street main entrance from the open plan ground floor, providing some privacy and filtering the natural light. The large main bedroom has been divided into an office area and a sleeping area. The dressing room has a bathtub incorporated into the generous space. The kitchen and bathrooms were completely redone adding some colour to the house and breaking away from the classic Victorian style. The result is an eclectic mix between Victorian, Mid-century and Modern styles with an African touch on the decoration.
